Apes of Wrath

Apes of Wrath

In the world of high stakes, we become a more heightened version of ourselves, which can sometimes resemble more simian behavior than human. From unitard sporting performance artists, an intimate encounter with robot culture and the primal effects of downsizing, "Apes of Wrath" embraces the dark and light sides of our human devolution.

Veteran Chicago-based director Jen Ellison leads returning cast members Carisa Barreca and Brooke Breit with new cast members Aasia LaShay Bullock, Eddie Mujica, Asher Perlman and Tim Ryder. Alex Kliner is back at the piano as the Musical Director and Composer and Kyle Anderson returns as Stage Manager. "Apes of Wrath" was written by Carisa Barreca, Brooke Breit, Eddie Mujica, Asher Perlman, Punam Patel and Tim Ryder. The producing team for “Apes of Wrath” includes Andrew Alexander (CEO & Executive Producer), Kelly Leonard (Executive Vice President), Alison Riley (Producer) and Jeremy Smith (Associate Producer)

Got kids?
The Second City has a nightclub atmosphere and alcohol is served. Our shows contain adult content and language. Most of our shows are the equivalent of an R-rated movie. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian when coming to the 11pm shows due to Chicago curfew laws. Please note we're not able to admit anyone under the age of 10. The Second City is best for savvy teen and adult audiences.

If you require special seating or accommodations (wheelchair-bound, hearing impaired, or visually impaired) please contact our box office at (312) 337-3992 to ensure the best service. Want to join a larger party but pay separately? Give us a call at (312) 337-3992 and we'll be sure you're seated with your party.
