Maxwell Butler

MUSICAL DIRECTOR Maxwell Butler hails from the verdant shores of Martha's Vineyard, Mass. He studied music composition at Bates College, and has been playing piano and keyboard since age 9. As a working musician since high school, he's played live and in studio across the U.S. and Canada, sharing stages with folks like B.B. King, Carly Simon, and Chuck Lorre. When not immersed in playing and teaching at Second City or one of his other musical gigs, Max works for legendary vintage keyboard guru Ken Rich, and is an avid writer, motorcyclist, and tinkerer. Favorite bands include The Kinks, Traffic, and anything smooth. He's been with The Really Awesome Improv Show since February 2017.
