Classes
We have a variety of classes that require no previous experience or training. Look for the No Experience Necessary icon for classes that are open to everyone. We have entry-level classes in Improv, Writing, Acting, Music, Physical Theater and more!

Online through any of the registration links on our website or directly at http://student.secondcity.com, by phone at 312-664-3959 or in person at the Training Center office.
New Student Orientation
Orientation is a great opportunity to meet program heads, ask questions, hear about benefits available to you as a student, etc. Orientation is held at 10:00am in the Second City Mainstage Theater and lasts up to an hour. Attendance is not mandatory but is encouraged. Anyone who is planning to sign up for class but hasn't done so is also welcome to attend.

Where are classes held?
The Training Center is located in the Piper's Alley building at the corner of North Avenue and Wells Street (1608 N Wells St) on the 3rd and 4th floors. Training Center reception, offices, 400 level classrooms and Donny's Skybox Theater are on the fourth floor; 300 level classrooms and the de Maat Studio Theater are on the third floor. Classrooms and instructors are usually confirmed during the week before a term begins, and students will be emailed once these are confirmed.
