Actress Nora Dunn will talk about her experiences as a versatile comedic and dramatic performer in tv and film.
Nora recently finished filming Frankie Goes Boom directed by Jordan Roberts. Nora will next be seen in Lol: Laughing Out Loud for Lionsgate. Nora’s first few film roles were in Working Girl and Miami Blues. Dunn then appeared in What Planet Are You From, Bruce Almighty, Heartbreakers, Drop Dead Gorgeous and What’s the Worst that Could Happen? as well as the musical Stepping Out, and the satire Bullworth. She has weaved effortlessly between comedy and drama such as in Three Kings. She has appeared in films such as Runaway, Laws of Attraction, November, Sundance Film Festival’s Die Mommy Die, Richard Kelly’s Southland Tales, It’s Complicated, The Answer Man (aka Arlen Faber) and Pineapple Express. Dunn has appeared in independent features as well, such as Finn Taylor’s Cherish and The Darwin Award. For television, Nora Dunn played for five seasons on Saturday Night Live and then appeared in NBC’s Sisters for three seasons. Dunn was recently seen in hit shows such as Harry’s Law, The Defenders, Psych, Private Practice, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Pushing Daisies, Shark, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Law & Order and Boston Legal. Nora is currently appearing in Love, Loss, and What I Wore at the Broadway Playhouse Water Tower place running through October 23.
This Q&A is free for current Training Center students. Anyone who is not a student can reserve tickets but will be required to pay the one-time $15 student membership. Space will be limited so reservations will be required.
