The Second City — Hollywood invites you to submit proposals to produce shows. Below is a list of shows that can be submitted to. The person submitting the proposal should have a significant role in the production, such as actor, director, writer or producer. Thank you for your submission!

IMPROV SHOWS

EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY (bi-weekly) 7:30pm, “Wham Bam Improv Jam”
Do you love short-form improv games? Wish you had more chances to get on stage and play? Then join us EVERY OTHER WEDNESDAY for the Wham! Bam! Improv Jam! where we pull names from a bucket to come on stage and play! Think “Who’s Line Is It Anyway” but the audience gets to perform. Whether you’re new to improv or have been doing it for years, this is a great chance to connect and play with your fellow improvisers in a supportive environment.

EVERY SATURDAY & SUNDAY (weekly) 12pm, “The Really Awesome Improv Show”
The Really Awesome Improv Show is every Saturday & Sunday at 12 noon. This fast paced and high energy improv comedy show plays at The Second City in Hollywood, it's a fun for all ages show celebrating an 8yr run! The Really Awesome Improv Show features improv games that rely on audience suggestions and participation, very "Whose Line is it Anyway," but 100% family friendly, and voted "Best Kids' Comedy Show" by LA Magazine. There’s a rotating cast so you’ll see a different faces and games each week, and for only $5 it's the best deal in town. RAIS is also great for birthday parties, Bar and Bat Mitzvah, Quinceañeras and family outings!

THE SECOND CITY — HOLLYWOOD THEATRE SHOW SUBMISSION FAQ's

  • WHAT DOES IT COST TO PERFORM AT SECOND CITY — HOLLYWOOD?
    • If performing in one of the shows listed above, there is no charge to perform at the Second City — Hollywood studio theatre. The Second City will decide the ticket price of your show (all shows cost $0—$10) and retain all ticket revenue.
  • DO I NEED MY OWN STAGE MANAGER?
    • A box office manager, house manager, and stage manager are provided by Second City for all performances.
  • WHAT IF I NEED A TECH REHEARSAL?
    • Sketch shows are provided a one-hour tech with your stage manager. Shows will co-ordinate with our Technical Director to schedule the tech.
  • DO I GET ANY COMPS?
    • Almost all shows get comps. Number of comps is determined by the type of show. If your show is booked, SC will provide you with specific comp info.
  • WHAT PRESS MATERIALS DOES SC NEED FROM ME?
    • Second City requests a press blurb and a jpeg from all shows that are scheduled.
