Tim Stoltenberg and Rob Belushi co-teach their method for approaching two-person improv as a means to have the most fun and fulfilling stage time you can share with another person. Tim and Rob have headlined festivals such as Chicago Improv Fest, Pittsburgh Comedy Fest, Charleston Comedy Fest, Out of Bounds Austin, Crossroads Comedy Indy and many others, and have found success with a simple approach.
The class will focus on what drives a successful two-person, how to get the most out of your opening, how to get the audience on your side, and how to approach your relationship on stage. They will guide you through a simple form and how to best showcase your authenticity and range and later, how to put your own twist on this classic form. This class will offer reps for people new to the form, and development for those who have tried it before. At the term’s end, students will have the confidence and skills to take their two-person performance to stage and see how satisfying it is to create a world with your partner, over and over, and do it well.
