The Second City is always on the look-out for energetic, highly-motivated interns. We offer Administrative Internships, which includes work in all of the following areas: marketing, operations, audience services and archiving-- all relating to shows produced at The Second City Toronto.
We're looking for interns who:
Have a genuine interest in arts administration
Have been involved in a production in any capacity: production, stage management, marketing, advertising, direction, musical direction, musician, performer etc.
Have the ability to work within a team-based work structure
Possess initiative, conscientiousness and strong self-management skills
Have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Can cheerfully deal with constant changes in direction, juggling many jobs at once and prioritizing tasks
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel especially) is a must, and experience with databases is preferred.
The Second City offers internships year round. The rotations usually break out like this:
Summer May/June through September Fall (semester1) September through January Winter/Spring (semester 2) January through end of May/June
Internship hours are from 10am- 4pm Monday- Friday. Interns typically work 2-3 days per week.
