Second City Communications is looking for energetic, highly-motivated interns. Second City Communications (SCC) is the corporate division of the business and provides entertainment, training, and creative and multimedia services to clients of all varieties. The SCC internship may include work in sales, marketing, and operations. Computer proficiency in Excel is a must, and experience with databases is preferred. A Sales/Marketing or Communications background is also a plus.

We're looking for interns who

• Have the ability to work within a team-based work structure
• Possess initiative, conscientiousness and strong self-management skills
• Have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Can cheerfully deal with working at a breakneck speed, constant changes in direction, and people who think they're funny
• Some duties may include:
  1. Inputting information into the database
  2. Running errands of all kinds
  3. Prep work for rehearsals and workshops
  4. Creating expense reports and itineraries for talent

Please note:

• All Internships at The Second City are unpaid.
• Whenever possible we will work with our interns to meet requirements to gain college credit for internships
• The Second City is not able to supply housing
• Internships are administrative; we do not offer artistic/acting or writing internships.
• We ask a minimum of 10 hours a week per intern
• A free class in our Training Center program is offered to interns whenever possible along with 2 free tickets per month to a Second City show
