The Second City is holding auditions to award up to sixteen (16) comedy fellowships to qualified performers of color in the 2nd annual inaugural NBC Bob Curry Fellowship. Selected talent will have the opportunity to receive an eight week master program tuition free offered in a unique professional development program taught by some of Second City’s top instructors and directors. Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase their work for casting execs at the The Second City NBC Break Out Comedy Festival in Chicago in June 2015.
Qualifications The Second City is actively seeking qualified applicants from diverse cultural backgrounds. Talent must audition to be accepted in to the program.
To be eligible, applicants must have completed either a college-level theatre, acting or writing program, or an advanced-level improvisational training program ( e.g. Second City conservatory); or have an equivalent combination of performance training and extensive professional stage experience. While improv training or experience is a strong asset, prior professional work in comedy is not required.

About the Audition: The audition will consist of twenty minutes of improvisation within a group of eight and a personal choice of a 2-3 minute comedic monologue or stand-up piece. Callbacks TBA.
