Movement for the Improviser

Designed for improvisers and sketch performers, this class provides students the opportunity to explore various uses of movement.  Students expereince different types of movement exercises including character exploration, silent scenes, and choreography geared toward the ensemble's abilities.  Students learn to create routines designed specifically for sketch comedy, both independently and as an ensemble.  The course looks at movement as an opportunity to slow down scenes, movement as penetration of the silence, and movement supporting song/music in sketch.
